SiTel has been housing students in Telemark for over thirty years; to put it simply, we know what students need. If you need a place to live, SiTel heartily welcomes you as a tenant. SiTel has almost 900 student and family housing options available within walking distance of the colleges in Bø, Notodden, Rauland, and Porsgrunn. Rents include electricity, water, use of washing machines and dryers, high-speed internet, and caretaker services.

Porsgrunn has gradually evolved from a small port into a town since the 14th century. In 1842 Porsgrunn was given the title county. The population today is 35 000. The total population of Porsgrunn, Skien and other nearby counties is over 100000. It is safe to say that you will find a variety of options here compared to other big cities in Norway.
Skiensfjordens technical college (Skiensfjordens tekniske fagskole) was founded in 1894 and was very important during the development of the industry in Porsgrunn, as well as for developing a college at Kjølnes. There is a tradition for technical education in this town.
In Porsgrunn you can choose between educational programs such as engineer, graduate engineer, nurse, teacher, pre-school teacher, child welfare officer, social educator, information science and business economics.
Porsgrunn has a lot of international students which gives you a great opportunity to get to know other cultures.
Grenland student society (Studentsamfunnet i Grenland) has their own house with a bar where they arrange concerts and other social events for students.
Campus Porsgrunn, with 2300 students, has the highest number of students at Telemark University College.
Porsgrunn in perhaps most known for hosting Porsgrunn international theater festival which starts soon after the spring semester ends.
SiTel has 230 rooms at different student houses, 2 cafes with hot and cold dishes, kindergarten with room for 22 children, bookstore and counseling in Porsgrunn.
Based on the location, traditions, environment and welfare, Porsgrunn is a great place to study.
